Brief & Objectives

Sequ-Door approached Ruby Digital with the primary goal of boosting their sales revenue by increasing the number of leads generated through “request a quote” form submissions and contact form submissions. With this, their secondary goal was to increase traffic driven to the website to support their primary focus of conversions and leads. 

To achieve these goals, we utilised Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads to target specific audiences with precision. By leveraging the advanced targeting capabilities of these platforms, we were able to reach potential customers effectively, driving traffic to Sequ-Door’s website and encouraging form submissions. Our ad campaigns were designed to capture attention and speak to the needs of the target audience to drive individuals with a clear intent to the website. Ultimately leading to increased conversions and leads. 

Challenges

One of the initial challenges we faced was that their campaigns were created through an ad account not owned by Sequ-Door or connected to their brand’s Facebook page. Without ownership of the ad account, we couldn’t access any of their historical data, making it difficult to measure the effectiveness of past campaigns or build on prior successes.  

1. Effective conversion tracking to ensure accurate reporting: 

No previous conversion tracking had been set up on Sequ-Door’s website. This meant we had no historical data on conversions generated through their advertising platforms, making it difficult to establish a baseline or understand previous user behaviour. With this, we had to ensure that we were accurately tracking leads, contact form submissions and contact conversions on the website. 

2. No Historical Data in Terms of Conversions Generated Through Advertising Platforms: 

Although our primary goal is conversions and generating leads. With conversion tracking not previously set up, we had no historical data. With this, we kickstarted our strategy with a traffic-focused approach instead of immediately optimising for leads and conversions. This was crucial for building our initial traction and generating conversions. Since no conversions were previously tracked, the ads needed time to learn and adapt to user behaviour, making it challenging to immediately optimise campaigns for sales and conversions.

Our Solution

At Ruby Digital, we always advocate for clients to own their ad accounts, ensuring transparency and control over their marketing efforts. When Sequ-Door approached us, we assisted them in creating and setting up their Meta Ads account, enabling them to leverage the power of Facebook and Instagram for their advertising needs. 

To lay the foundation for accurate tracking and reporting, we started by creating and installing a Meta Pixel on their website. This crucial step allowed us to track user interactions and gather valuable data. We then set up specific events and conversions tailored to Sequ-Door’s objectives, meticulously monitoring key actions such as “request a quote” form submissions, contact form submissions and contact conversions referring to their email and contact number button clicks. 

Initially, Sequ-Door faced the challenge of lacking historical conversion data from their advertising platforms. To address this, we adopted a traffic-optimised approach to build initial traction. By focusing on driving traffic to the website, we gathered essential insights and data, which allowed us to understand user behavior better. 

As we started gaining traction and as Meta generated enough data to understand what a key conversion was to Sequ-Door, we systematically shifted our strategy towards a conversion-optimised approach. This involved fine-tuning our campaigns based on the data collected and allowing the ads to learn and adapt to user behaviour. Through continuous testing and adjustments, we ensured the accuracy of our conversion tracking methods, employing both server-side and browser-side techniques to provide precise and reliable data. 

After six months of data collection and consistent lead generation through our optimisations, Sequ-Door increased their total ad spend by 27%. This increase in ad spend was justified by the impressive results we achieved over the six months leading up to it. With a 39% improvement in our cost per lead and increase in conversions, we determined that while the increased ad spend was a factor, our strategic optimisations were the primary drivers of these results. 

Our strategic approach led to impressive results, with substantial growth in leads and conversions for Sequ-Door from February 2024 to May 2024. By effectively implementing conversion tracking and gradually optimising our campaigns, we were able to drive significant improvements in their marketing performance, demonstrating the power of a well-executed digital advertising strategy. 

Results

Our strategic approach led to substantial growth for Sequ-Door from February 2024 to May 2024.  

Conversion Goal:

We achieved a significant 111% increase in the number of leads generated.  

The number of contact form submissions saw an impressive 80% increase. This indicates a higher level of engagement and intent from potential customers, driven by our well-crafted ads and optimised user experience on the website. 

Contact conversions (email and contact number button clicks) experienced a remarkable 420% increase. This exponential growth demonstrates the success of our conversion optimisation strategies, effectively turning website visitors into valuable leads. 

We also achieved a 39.4% improvement in cost per lead. By optimising our campaigns and targeting the right audience, we were able to reduce the cost of acquiring each lead, making our efforts more cost-effective and efficient. 

Overall, these results showcase the substantial impact of our strategic approach, driving significant growth and improved performance for Sequ-Door’s marketing efforts.
