Long-term partner and client, MaxLaser, approached Ruby Digital with the goal to increase the amount of organic revenue generated from their products, as well as to increase organic conversions generated. In early 2023, we updated their strategy to not only focus on improving their organic conversions and revenue, but also to increase the positions of keywords that were ranking on pages 3 to 10 to page 1 of Google.
We wanted to increase the number of conversions per month and improve the revenue generated through organic means. However, as MaxLaser’s products are of high value, users tend to not convert within their first visit to the website. Along with this, they have already been optimised extensively with both on and off page SEO, so we had to find new ways to take MaxLaser’s SEO to the next level.
At the beginning of our SEO campaign, we made extensive optimisations to MaxLaser’s website, which saw the following results. More recently, we incorporated a variety of on-site and off-site strategies.
For on-site, we created and published blogs, which drew in users with an interest in laser cutting and engraving, therefore, bringing the correct audience to the site. Furthermore, the blogs allowed us to utilise internal linking in order to improve the users’ engagement rate and average engaged time per session via encouring them to navigating to other pages on the website, and in turn increased the likelihood of a conversion or purchase taking place.
In terms of off-site efforts, the building of backlinks to specific service pages assisted with improving the keyword rankings of product pages and led to the pages showing higher up in Google’s SERPs, thereby creating increased visibility of the website’s pages. In addition, we created updates to post on MaxLaser’s Google My Business, which further increased their reach and visibility.
After analysing their website with competitor research and industry standard research in hand, we were able to understand where the most efficitve and valuable places would be to add CTAs (call to actions) on-site in order to further increase the likelihood of a conversion.
Our solutions focused on targeting and improving high value pages that saw the highest potential of converting, as well as relevancy and ranking potential. The content we created also allowed us to target the correct audiences, which would further allow MaxLaser to improve as a brand.
