Brief & Objectives

Gillian & Co approached Ruby Digital with the primary goal of conversions to increase the number of website purchases through PPC advertising.

A secondary goal for the client was to increase ad engagement with relevant, highly-targeted ads with attractive content to encourage viewers to engage more deeply with the brand.

We started running Ads from February 2022.

Challenges

Gillian & Co had a smaller PPC budget than our minimal recommendation.

They were also signed on for paid social services, and they wanted to see the results we could provide with this smaller Google Ads budget.

The challenge was that the women’s fashion and clothing industry is competitive, and competing with brands with bigger PPC advertising budgets would look to be a challenging task.

Another challenge was that prior to us beginning our Google Ads strategy implementation, all the ads for the account had been paused intermittently, meaning they lost traction and it took some time to relearn the best placements for the ads.

This made determining which ads would continue to work well difficult, after implementation of our new strategy.

Our Solution

  • Through our use of Shopping, Display, and Remarketing Google Ads campaigns, we focused on achieving the primary goal of increasing online sales from the website by improving ad quality and optimising audience targeting.
  • We also implemented certain determinators of success, such as an improvement in the conversion rate and driving traffic to the site, as this was part of the secondary goal for the client: to increase ad engagement and encourage viewers to take action after seeing our ads.

Results

The results seen over the last 8 months have been considerable when comparing the 8 months prior and the results from Google Ads strategy are great. We effectively achieved the clients’ primary and secondary goals using a smaller marketing budget.

Our ads saw a 88.75% rise in impressions and saw a 82.26% rise in clicks. The conversion rate saw a 98.2% increase. This achieved the secondary goal of the client to get more traffic to the website and to improve the conversion rate, which means users engage better with the brand.

The primary goal of sales was achieved as the return on investment saw a massive 199.65% increase in ROI.
