Brief & Objectives

Big Storage, a valued long-term client, engaged with us to optimise their online presence through comprehensive SEO, Link Building, and PPC services. The primary objective was to enhance lead generation by generating submissions through their storage booking form.

Given our partnership with Big Storage spanning over two years, we conducted a thorough dynamic strategy review.

Following the assessment, we adjusted our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reviewed our current objectives. This process ensured our strategies were finely tuned to accommodate the evolving needs of Big Storage for the upcoming year.

Challenges

Over the period of January to December 2024, Big Storage has experienced three challenges that Ruby Digital Comprehensive SEO & Google Analytics Strategies had to encounter.

  • The first major challenge was the significant number of competitors, ranging from large national storage chains to local storage facilities, creating a highly competitive landscape.
  • The second challenge stemmed from the unprecedented number of Google search fluctuations and algorithm updates in 2024, which required constant monitoring and adaptability to maintain visibility and rankings.
  • Our initial link-building efforts drove a substantial increase in keyword rankings and website traffic. However, this surge did not translate into a proportional growth in engaged sessions, resulting in a decline in engagement rates and average session duration. To address this, we shifted to a content-heavy strategy aimed at improving engagement rates by delivering more relevant, valuable, and targeted content to our audience.

Our Solution

  • To improve Google Ads results, we conducted a comprehensive audit and eliminated budget-draining campaigns that were not generating sufficient conversions. We also applied targeted optimisation strategies to improve Quality Scores, which enhanced Ad Rank. This resulted in a higher impression share at a reduced budget, creating more opportunities for conversions, while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • For SEO, we pivoted our strategy to focus heavily on a robust content strategy. By incorporating updated keywords with higher search volumes and more competitive relevance, along with creating unique, high-quality content, Big Storage achieved a significant increase in keywords ranking on the first page. This improvement has substantially boosted organic website traffic.
  • The rise in traffic was further bolstered by targeting highly relevant keywords aligned with Big Storage’s business objectives. This approach increased engaged sessions, ultimately leading to a higher rate of conversions.

Big Storage has seen an impressive growth in visibility throughout the search results from the period of January 2024 to December 2024 compared to January 2023 to December 2023.

  • Big Storage has experienced remarkable growth, achieving a 58% year-on-year increase in both SEO and Google Ads conversions. Organic sessions have surged by 157.91% compared to the previous year, showcasing the effectiveness of the SEO strategy.
  • Google Ads performance has also significantly improved, with a 17.89% year-on-year increase in click-through rate (CTR) and a 22.82% rise in Search Impression Share.
