About the role

  • Ruby Digital is looking for a junior Social Media Coordinator to join our team.
  • You will work on a diverse range of clients, delivering measurable return on investment.
  • You will work alongside other social media managers, performance specialists, developers, and content writers to optimize the online presence of these clients.

Responsibilities

  • Learning to format, compile and communicate monthly reports
  • Schedule & boost social posts on time given capacity planning & client expectations
  • Assist in the production of basic Social Media strategies for review by senior members
  • Produce basic competitor, hashtag & target market research with guidance from senior team members
  • Optimise social platforms with instruction from senior team members in accordance to capacity planning
  • Brief copywriter or complete copywriting for social media (posts, social bios and FAQs) with guidance from senior team members
  • Briefing designer on social media designs (posts, cover imagery and ad creatives) and completing basic social media design work with guidance from senior team members
  • Ensuring all scheduled posts are going live on their designated days alongside ensuring ads are going live and not being rejected
  • Complete various tasks with instruction from senior team members in accordance to capacity planning
  • The creation of campaigns on Meta Business Manager or LinkedIn Campaign Manager in accordance with the client’s strategy.
  • Actively perform community management across client’s active social platforms as defined by each client’s social media strategy
  • Engaging with support teams on social platforms and Hootsuite on resolving account or application issues
  • Email marketing mailer calendar creation (including copywriting and design work of mailers)
  • Email marketing mailer building and scheduling (including compiling and scheduling mailers within mailchimp)
  • Email marketing monthly management (tracking, database & audience optimisation)
  • Performing email marketing set-up tasks (including integrations with CRMs and conversion tracking set-up)
  • Participate in forming effective email marketing strategies

Attributes & Requirements

  • Passion for digital marketing and social media
  • You’re experienced with tools like Hootsuite and Google Analytics
  • Experience in delivering performance orientated social media content beneficial
  • Experience creating and optimising campaigns across differing social media platforms beneficial
  • You’re experienced using various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn & Twitter)
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Curiosity about anything and everything social media and email marketing
  • Awesome organizational skills
  • A willingness to take ownership of the work
  • Hard work ethic and self-starter
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Word/Google Docs and Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Experience in an agency environment
  • Your own laptop/Desktop computer
  • Ability and passion to educate and share industry knowledge with team members
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and the initiative to lead advanced projects
  • A stable and high bandwidth internet connection

Education

  • Diploma Level Education
  • 1 to 2 years experience in an agency environment beneficial
