Future Factory SA approached Ruby Digital for Google Ads services to increase leads around their laser cutting and engraving services.
Partnering with Future Factory, Ruby Digital compiled a comprehensive Google Ads strategy with the specific goals and determinators of success, to align with Future Factory’s business goals. This strategy included creating relevant conversion actions based on the needs of their businesses as well as creating strong ad copy that not only targeted key audiences but also communicated their expertise effectively.
When Future Factory approached Ruby Digital, they were experiencing two main challenges.
Firstly, there was a lack of realistic conversion actions that did not align with the client’s needs. Many of the conversion actions created were manually determined by Google Ads based on the goals originally set by the client. These determined conversions didn’t provide a full representation of how many leads were being achieved, meaning that the Ruby Digital Google Ads strategy had to be created based on unrealistic historical data.
The second challenge was that Future Factory had scheduled a Smart campaign for the original Google Ads efforts, which is not recommended for running more than one service or product with a limited budget. This was causing Google to outbid itself and increase impression share loss due to budget constraints, as it focused on various targets offered by Future Factory.
However, by understanding the competitive landscape of the laser cutting and engraving industry and utilising previous successful strategies, Ruby Digital designed and implemented a strategy that not only reached Future Factory’s business goals in the first six months but also improved other indicators of success, including improvements in cost per conversion, click-through rate, and average cost per click.
Ruby Digital created and implemented relevant conversion actions that aligned with Future Factory’s business goals. This included the setup of Google Tag Manager and the optimisation of Google Analytics according to Google’s best practices.
We designed and created specific campaigns targeting the various focuses of Future Factory, including the diverse services offered and the specific materials that Future Factory specialises in engraving and laser cutting.
Ruby Digital also provided a detailed landing-page audit, which was implemented on the Future Factory website to improve the user experience. This led to a higher ad rank, helping to lower the cost-per-click.
We created relevant ad copy and assets that not only attracted potential customers to the ads but also effectively communicated the expertise and quality offered by Future Factory.
Over the 6-month period since Ruby started the Google Ads campaign, the results seen from the implementation of our Google Ads strategy have been positive.
Many overall metrics have improved substantially. Starting with conversions, which the total number of conversions increased by 223%, and the cost per conversion has seen a decrease of 50.74%.
Ad impressions increased by 83.74% and clicks increased by 82.3%. The average cost of click increased by 15.1%.
Across the board, Future-Factory is seeing strong returns on ad spend, reinforced by improved reporting and more accurate data to work with.
