About the role

  • RubyWeb is looking for a Web Development Project Manager, with Operational experience, to join our team.

  • You will work on a diverse range of clients, delivering measurable return on investment and organic growth.
  • You will be responsible for managing various web development projects, including client liaison, building relationships with clients on a client service level, and management.
  • You will work alongside a skilled team of developers and digital marketing experts to craft top-tier websites and provide outstanding website-related services.

Responsibilities

Liaise with both local and international clients on a regular basis.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Strategic Oversight: Define and drive the overall vision for web project delivery and operational excellence, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.]
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between leadership, clients, and teams to ensure project objectives align with business strategies.

Process Optimisation:

  • Develop and implement workflows, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and ensure high-quality project outcomes.
  • Continuously refine processes, tools, and SOPs based on project insights and best practices. Ensure all administrative and financial operations are handled efficiently and aligned with company standards.

Website Development Scoping:

  • Lead the strategic scoping of web development projects by ensuring a thorough understanding of client requirements and project objectives.
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical briefs for developers, oversee the creation of accurate cost estimates, and deliver tailored solution proposals that align with organisational goals and client expectations.

Project management and support:

  • End-to-End Project Oversight: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex web projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or compromises in quality.
  • Resource Allocation: Oversee resource planning and utilisation across multiple web projects, ensuring optimal team productivity.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with stakeholders, including developers, designers, and the Success & Performance teams to ensure alignment with project scope and timelines.
  • Provide clear direction, defining responsibilities and driving accountability. Lead regular meetings to track progress, resolve challenges, and maintain momentum.
  • Quality Control: Review and inspect project deliverables internally before client submission to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Proactively address and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Ensure a solid understanding of the client’s environment, business goals, and best practices to recommend ideal solutions for desired business outcomes

Product Innovation & Improvement:

  • Drive the development of new web products and enhance existing offerings, ensuring they meet market demands and client needs.

Team Leadership & Support:

  • Guide and mentor the project management team, provide web development expertise to internal teams, and resolve client-facing or intra-team challenges.

Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor project profitability, analyse discrepancies, and implement solutions to improve cost-effectiveness.
  • Work under pressure and be fully adaptable to the ever-changing world of web development.
  • Follow industry trends, drive innovation, and contribute to case studies, blog articles, and training as well as define, monitor, and analyse trends.
  • Contribute to projects, process changes, and roll-outs of the company.

Attributes & Requirements

  • You are passionate about web development and helping companies grow.
  • You are a skilled project manager with a demonstrated history of success in web development (minimum 2 years).
  • You have a strong background in development, whether in software engineering, creative web development, or a related technical field.
  • You have work experience in an agency environment You are a fast learner with a great work ethic.
  • You have effective time management, project management, and organisational skills.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills You have a positive attitude and a growth mindset.
  • You have a tertiary education Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite)
  • Adobe Design Tools and Figma is a bonus.

Education

  • Tertiary education and minimum 2-year experience in a similar environment.
